Master bath redo...

, originally uploaded by willowdawn.

Well, my hubby went away for three days, and came home to new (sort of) master bath. I had picked paint colors that he wasn't too sure of, so I figured that if he came home and saw it done, he would understand my vision. I accidently formatted over the before photos, but trust me, it wasn't pretty! A little unsolicited opinion... avoid wall paper like the plague! Personally, I think it should be abolished! This room had a border around the ceiling that had not be afixed properly, so they took Elmers Glue and glued it back in place. Not fun... Everyone wants a change every now and then, and pulling that stuff off is a pain! And if you sell your house, I can pretty much guarantee that the owners will be cursing you as they tear it off the walls.

So the jury is still out on the green. Hubby doesn't like it, the six year old declared it "hideous" and the 14 year old loves it... we'll see. It's just paint, and can always be redone. The floor still needs to be replaced. I want to put tile in, but it is on the second floor and I would have to put a whole new subfloor in. It's a temporary home for us, so I don't want to over improve it.

Having remodeled/redecorated my entire house, I can appreciate the work that goes into some of the smallest rooms!

This looks bright and fresh--sometimes you just have to live with it a few days to be sure about it, lol!
