I had the honor and the pleasure of photographing the commissioning ceremony of a friends oldest son.

His father (furthest away of the three on the right) performed the oath swearing with him. What a special memory for both of them.

His mom and sister, "pinning" him. In the olden days, the pins would be attached to your shoulders and collars the backings would be left off. Then your buddies would give you a nice whack, making the pins jab into you. When his mom had put his on, she give it a gentle punch!

Such a Little Lady!

All dressed up and filthy... again! She was almost black with dirt by the end of the day. She ripped the dress within hours of owning it! I've always joked that she only LOOKS like a girl. Her additude and actions are so much more like a boy. But what a fun girl she is.
